Trojan LogoThe Atlantic Trojans football team (1-2) hits the road to Huxley tonight to square off against the Ballard Bombers (1-2). The Trojans are coming off a nice win last week over Shenandoah and hope they can carry some of that momentum into this matchup. Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer said the Trojans had talked about wanting to go at least 2-2 in the non-district portion of the schedule in order to reach their overall goals for the year, and they’ll have that chance tonight. Coach Brummer said it’s been a good week of preparation.

Ballard had a similar situation as the Trojans coming into the season, needing to replace a large senior class. The Bombers have played well at times during a tough opening stretch and Co-Head Coach Kyle Howard said they are getting on track.

The Bombers are led by running back Gabe Christensen and quarterback Ashton Hermann on the ground. Coach Brummer said this is a big Bomber front and they want to run the ball.

Bombers Co-Head Coach Kyle Howard said they will be looking to set the edge against the Trojans.

We’ll have coverage of the Trojans and the Bombers tonight on KJAN. Chris Parks will have the call from Huxley on AM 1220, FM 101.1, and audio online at kjan.com. Tune in for our pick ’em show Who’s Gonna Win? at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Dvorak Tire and Service pregame show at 6:30 p.m.
