Corn crib fire near Stuart, Saturday

Stuart Fire and Rescue personnel responded at around 6:05-p.m. Saturday, to a reported corn crib fire off of 272nd Street. While en route Stuart Fire requested Redfield fire to assist due to the location and dry conditions. Upon arrival fire crews found a fully involved corn crib along with a boat and a grain bin containing random items that were all also fully involved. Crews made a quick knock down and extinguished the fire before it could spread to any other surrounding exposures.

Stuart police also provided assistance at the scene. There were no injuries reported.
