Police in Red Oak say no injuries were reported following a collision that took place at around 8:35-p.m., Friday. An investigation determined 23-year-old Kaley Ann Cok, of Shenandoah, was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion west on Oak Street, and was at the intersection with Broadway, attempting to turn left to southbound Broadway. As she turned, her car struck a 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup traveling straight ahead, eastbound on Oak Street. The pickup was occupied by the driver, 15-year-old Guadalupe Angel Bowen, of Omaha, and her passenger, 34-year-old Dale Demont.

Bowen and Demont said they were coming through the intersection, and the Ford was stopped, appearing to yield to them, when the car began to turn into their path. A motorist traveling behind the pickup confirmed the accident description. Police cited Cok for Failure to Yield upon making a left turn. Both vehicle were able to be driven away from the scene. Damage from the collision amounted to $4,300 altogether, with the Fusion sustaining a majority of the damage.
