A pickup truck struck a power pole early Monday morning, in Creston, but no one was injured. Creston Police report 35-year old Manuel Luke Richardson, of Creston, was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 westbound on Fremont Street at around 2:15-a.m., when the vehicle ran off the road at a curve, and struck an Alliant Energy-owned power pole, causing $1,000 damage to the pole. The pickup sustained $2,000 damage. Authorities say Richardson was driving too fast for conditions. No citations were issued.
