CAM didn’t lead Stanton until 5:25 left in the third quarter on Thursday night, but the Cougars finished strong to grab a 63-45 win. Connor McKee hit the three that put the Cougars ahead for the first time and he went on to score 19 of his 21 points in the second half. After trailing by three at half the Cougars led 37-28 by the end of the third and kept pulling away.

Colby Rich helped the Cougars hang around in the first half by knocking down three 3’s in the first half and finished with a game high 23 points. CAM Head Coach Nick Hodges said he challenged his team to be more aggressive at the half. He thought they did a much better job of attacking the basket and opening up the zone in the second half.

CAM improved to 7-6 on the season and they will now get set for a make-up game against West Harrison on Saturday.

Stanton was led by 14 points from Quentin Thornburg and 12 from Carter Johnson. The Vikings fall to 8-6 on the season and they are set to face Essex on Friday before hosting Griswold on Monday.
