The Atlantic girls basketball team started their game Tuesday night at Red Oak with a 15-0 run and ballooned the lead to 30 by halftime on their way to a 64-39 win. The Trojans were able to force 15 first half turnovers from the Tigers and converted many of those giveaways into points on the other end.

Haley Rasmussen got the scoring going early with 17 points in the first half and finished with a game high 24. Three other Trojans finished in double figures: Tessa Grooms with 11 and Taylor McCreedy and Jada Jensen both with 10. Atlantic improved to 6-7 with the win. They will now prep for a Thursday night home match-up against Class 4A 12th ranked Harlan.

Red Oak got 13 from Lexi Johnson and 10 each from Chloe DeVries and Payten Bass. The Tigers fall to 2-10 on the season and their next game is at 4A top-ranked Glenwood on Thursday.
