In an update to our earlier reports, the Iowa State Patrol has identified two people who suffered minor injuries during a collision this (Tuesday) morning, at the intersection of Highways 92 and 148, east of Massena. The collision between a car and a van happened at around 6:35-a.m. According to the Patrol, a southbound 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by 61-year old Brenda Bills, of Massena, stopped at the intersection.

She proceeded into the intersection, not seeing an approaching eastbound 2013 Grand Caravan. The van was driven by 40-year old Justin Fell, of Atlantic.  The car hit the van on its passenger side. Both vehicles came to rest near the middle of the intersection.

Authorities say a passenger in the van, 21-year-old Taymen Brawdy, of Atlantic, was transported by Massena Rescue to the Cass County Memorial Hospital, while Cumberland Rescue transported Bills to CCMH.  The Iowa State Patrol cited Bills for failure to yield at a stop sign.
