The Lewis Central Titans girls basketball team poured in 15 three pointers and ran away from Atlantic 66-34 on Friday night in Council Bluffs. Freshman Lucy Scott led the barrage with six makes from downtown and finished with 20 points to lead all scorers. The Titans combined that terrific outside shooting with some great zone defense to build a big early lead. The Titans led 15-2 at the end of the first and 39-7 by halftime. 6 different players made a three in that first half for LC.

The Titans got 14 points from McKenna Pettepier and 8 each from Keely Diercks and Adrian Okerbloom. Lewis Central improved to 4-0 on the season and will next have a big road game at Glenwood on Tuesday. That game is a rematch of a State Semifinal game that the Titans won last season.

Atlantic played much better in the second half of the game and started to get some better offensive looks. Haley Rasmussen was the Trojans leading scorer with 13 points, 11 of those in the second half. Atlantic falls to 3-4 and will host a 1A ranked Nodaway Valley team on Saturday night before facing Shenandoah on Tuesday to finish the pre-holiday portion of the schedule.
