The Iowa State Patrol reports two people were injured during a single-vehicle accident Monday night, in Pottawattamie County. The crash happened at around 8:05 near Crescent. Authorities say a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 32-year-old Justin Colton, of Council Bluffs, was traveling north on Joslin Road, just north of Monument Road, when the vehicle went out of control and entered the west ditch.

The car struck a barbed wire fence and then entered the east ditch of I-29  and rolled over, before coming to rest on its top on the northbound shoulder of I-29. Colton, and his passenger, 32-year-old Shayla Wright, of Omaha, were transported by Crescent Rescue to Jenny Edmundson Hospital, in Council Bluffs. Both were wearing their seat belts.
