Montgomery County Board of Supervisors District #1 Special Election set for Dec. 15

Montgomery County Auditor/Commissioner of Elections Stephanie Burke, Friday, said on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, a Special Election, that was petitioned for, will be held to elect a Board of Supervisor in District #1 of Montgomery County.

Candidates Filed:

  • Steve Berendes, Republican
  • Charla Schmid, Nominated by Petition

Friday, December 11, 2020
The deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot to be mailed is by 5:00 P.M. Absentee Request Forms are available on the County Website at montgomerycountyia.gov or at the Auditor’s office. Request forms will have to be completed prior to receiving an absentee ballot. Return your request form as soon as possible and the ballots will be mailed as soon as they are ready.

Monday, December 14, 2020
The last day to request and vote an Absentee Ballot in-person at the Auditor’s office.

Tuesday, December 15, 2020 SPECIAL ELECTION DAY
Polls open from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

The Montgomery County Auditor’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. If anyone has questions about voter registration, absentee ballots, or voting, call the Auditor’s office (712)-623-5127. The District #1 map can be viewed at www.montgomerycountyia.gov or at the Auditor’s office.

Thursday, November 26, 2020 and Friday, November 27, 2020: The Montgomery County Auditor’s office will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday
