WALTER HERR, 98, of Greenfield, died Tue., Oct. 27th, at the Good Samaritan Society, in Fontanelle.  Private, immediate family only services for WALTER HERR will be held 1-p.m. Monday, Nov. 2nd, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. The service will be livestreamed on the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Facebook Page.  Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements.

Open Visitation without the family present:  Will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial is in the Greenfield Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post No. 247.

Memorials may be made to the Walter Herr memorial fund to be established by the family.

His daughters – Barbara (Steve) McKibban, of Greenfield; Paula (Jack) Bachhuber, of Urbandale; and Marcia (John) Plett, of Gladbrook.

10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, his daughter- and sister-in-law, other relatives and friends.
