Trojan LogoThe Atlantic Trojans made some big 2nd half plays and came away with a 31-18 victory over Greene County to start 2A District 9 play on Friday night in Jefferson. It was a very tight game for much of the night but the Trojans outscored the Rams 15-0 in the 4th quarter to grab the win.

It was a 12-10 Greene County lead at halftime, and the Rams were up 18-16 heading into the fourth quarter. Greene County would then turn the ball over on downs their next possession, but did then force a Trojan punt to get the ball back with 3:26 left in the game. Bodie Johnson then came up with a game-clinching 22-yard interception return for a touchdown to seal the Trojan win. Grant Sturm would grab an interception on the final Greene County possession to put the game on ice.

Bodie Johnson finished with three touchdowns on the night to lead the Trojans to the win. Atlantic improves to 2-1 on the season and are now 1-0 in District play.
