The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help in finding two persons who were party to an incident this weekend. On Saturday, June 27, 2020, at about 3:24 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two individuals placing a deceased dog into a ditch in rural Cumberland on 650th Street just north of PELLA Road (Corrected from earlier press release). The animal appeared to be emaciated and neglected. The dog is described as a 30-40 lb liver and white mixed breed with shorter hair.

The individuals were in an older model black Pontiac with a sticker across the top front of the windshield and a sticker across the back window.
