The Atlantic Trojans baseball team is set to host the Clarinda Cardinals in high school baseball tonight and we’ll have coverage on KJAN and KJANTV. The game schedule was adjusted to have the Varsity game first at 5:30 p.m. due to the chance of rain moving in.

The Trojans come in to the contest at 1-1 on the young season after an opening loss to Lewis Central 2-12 and then a win over Denison-Schleswig 15-5. Grant Sturm had 4 hits and 4 RBIs in that win over the Monarchs Tuesday.

The Cardinals are also 1-1 on the season. They opened with a loss at Shenandoah 0-1 and then on Wednesday night defeated Southwest Valley 12-2.  Jarod McNeese had 2 hits and 3 RBIs in that win last night.

The game is being played at the Trojans home this year at the Griswold baseball field. Our coverage will start about 5:15 p.m. with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m. Chris Parks and Jarod McKee will have the call on AM 1220, FM 101.1, and online at kjan.com.
