The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Deputy Association (PCSDA) today (Friday) announced their candidate endorsement for the next Pottawattamie County Sheriff. In a press released, officials said “After careful discussion and study, our members have voted in supermajority to endorse and recommend to the citizens of Pottawattamie County, Lieutenant Andy Brown for the next Pottawattamie County Sheriff.”

Earlier this year, Sheriff Jeff Danker announced his retirement as Sheriff after 28 years of service. The PCSDA polled its members to select an endorsement for the critically important position, and deemed Lt. Brown as having the leadership capacity, the relationships, and most importantly the courage and integrity to lead the Sheriff’s Office in this time of great change and crisis.
