Following a run to the Class 4A State Championship game last season, Lewis Central head girls basketball coach Derek Archer is stepping down.

According to an interview with the Daily Nonpareil, Archer wants to spend more time with his growing family. Assistant coach Chris DeMarque is also reportedly stepping away.

Archer led the Titans to five state tournament appearances in his eight-years at the helm.
