The CAM Cougars played a well-rounded game on Friday night and took down the Exira-EHK Spartans 73-53. The Cougars got into rhythm early and jumped on top 15-7 at the end of the first quarter. That lead would swell to 37-19 by halftime and the Cougars never looked back. The offense fed off of some fast break chances and it was a solid shooting night for the Cougars. CAM Head Coach Nick Hodges loved the way his team played.

The Cougars were able to avenge one of their 4 losses on the season. They dropped the road game against the Spartans back on January 7th 58-48. The Cougars made a lot of great extra passes to turn a good look into a great one, and Coach Hodges said when they do that they are a tough team to defend.

Connor McKee had another big night for the Cougars, dropping in 24 points a night after he scored 15 against Audubon. Connor said he was feeling confident heading into the game.

McKee also thought the Cougars did a great job sharing the ball.

CAM improves to 15-4 with the victory. They will travel to Paton-Churdan on Monday.

Exira-EHK was led by 23 points from Creighton Nelson as the Spartans dropped to 10-9 on the season. They will host Boyer Valley on Monday.
