The Glenwood boys basketball team pulled away from the Atlantic Trojans in the 2nd half for a 64-41 win on Monday night at the Atlantic High School. The Trojans actually held a one point halftime lead at 27-26 but the defensive pressure amped up for the Rams after the break. The Trojans started to turn the ball over and give Glenwood some easy looks on the other end.

The score wavered a couple times in the third before the Rams finished the quarter on a 10-2 run to lead 47-37 after 3. The Rams then outscored the Trojans 17-4 to finish the win.

Atlantic Head Coach Jeff Ebling said it was just kind of a snowball in the second half with shots not falling.

The Rams did a great job of making Trojan leading-scorer Skyler Handlos work hard to try to get open and he never got into a good rhythm.

Ryan Blum led the Rams with 26 points and John Palmer finished with 9. The Rams improve to 6-3 on the season. They will travel to Shenandoah on Friday.

Atlantic was led by 15 points from Nile Petersen in the loss. Grant Sturm and Craig Alan Becker each had 8 on the night. Atlantic falls to 3-6 on the year and next up for the Trojans is a trip to Kuemper Catholic in Carroll on Friday.
