The Audubon Wheelers are set to host the Logan-Magnolia Panthers for a Western Iowa Conference basketball doubleheader tonight and we’ll have coverage on KJAN.

The girls game will feature two teams off to a great start to the season. Both teams have a 7-1 record and some nice wins in the first portion of the season. Audubon knocked off Class 2A #12 AHSTW on the road on December 13th 54-48. Logan-Magnolia opened the year with a road win over Class 1A #14 Exira-EHK 61-41.  The Panthers are #14 in the latest 2A rankings. Kylie Morrison is avearaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game for the Panthers. Aleah Hermansen is averaging 16 points and 5 rebounds per game to lead the Wheelers.

The boys game will match the 3-4 Wheelers against the 4-3 Panthers. Kaiden Smith leads Audubon with 11 points per game and Skyler Schultes and Marcus Olsen are both averaging close to 10 per outing. Tre Melby has put up 13 points and grabbed 10 boards per game for Logan-Magnolia and Dylan Cunard has dropped in 15 points per outing.
