The CAM Cougars (6-0) play host to the Boyer Valley Bulldogs (2-4) tonight in Anita and we’ll have coverage on KJAN. The Cougars have played solid football so far this season and that play is starting to turn some heads statewide, CAM is up to #6 in the latest Radio Iowa poll.  Boyer Valley Head Coach Cody Malone thinks the Cougars deserve to be in that top 5 discussion from what he has seen. Malone says he expects the Cougars offense to keep his team guessing tonight.

Lane Spieker and Cade Ticknor have been impressive on the ground for the Cougars, Spieker with 912 yards and 14 touchdowns and Ticknor with 293 yards and 11 scores. Coach Malone said that kind of success for two young runners is a credit to the guys up front.

Quarterback Gavin Reineke leads the way offensively for Boyer Valley. He’s thrown for 1,209 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions on the season. Coach Malone said his team has leaned on the pass a bit too much this season and are looking to get some different things going on the ground to have success at the end of the season.

The Cougars and the Bulldogs are set for a 7:00pm kickoff tonight in Anita. Chris Parks and Mike Smith will have the call on KJAN with the Dvorak Tire and Service Pregame Show starting at 6:30pm. You can also tune in for our pick ’em show “Who’s Gonna Win?” starting at 6:00pm.
