The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office released details Monday on a number of recent arrests.

On Friday evening an Underwood woman was arrested following a short pursuit. A Deputy initiated a traffic stop on South 1st Street and Pierce Street at approximately 9:24 p.m. and a pursuit began. After a short pursuit the vehicle stopped and 32-year-old Carri Sue Nelson of Underwood was charged with Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, Interference with Official Acts, Operating under the Influence 3rd or Subsequent Offense, and Reckless Driving.

Also on Friday 54-year-old Deborah Sue Miller.  Miller was arrested Friday after Deputies were called to 1400 Big Lake Road for a vehicle in water. Miller was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense.

On Saturday, September 21st Deputies arrested 35-year-old Wallace Clifford Franks. The arrest occurred after Deputies were called to the Casey’s General Store in Avoca for an armed subject. Franks was charged with Carrying Weapons.

On Monday morning 33-year-old Shakir Jama Farah of Sioux City was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th after damaging a sprinkler in a holding cell Sunday night at the Pottawattamie County Jail. Farah was originally booked in for Trespassing and now faces an additional charge of Criminal Mischief 4th.
