UPDATE at 3:15 pm – Griswold School officials have reported to us that MacKade Schroder has been located and returned to his parents.  We will have more information as it is available.  Below is the original report:

The Griswold Community is seeking help in locating MacKade Schroder.  MacKade is a thirteen year old 8th grade student at the Griswold Community School District.  MacKade is 5’2″, 90 pounds with long blonde curly hair.  He left home today wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black tennis shoes and was carrying a navy blue and bright green backpack with the word “fuel” on it.  While walking to school today, MacKade told another student he was running away possibly to the Treynor area.  The Cass County Sheriff’s Department has been contacted and is leading in the search.  A missing person’s report was filed today.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact either the Griswold School at 712-778-2154 or the Cass County Sheriff’s Department at 712-243-2206.
