SAN DIEGO (AP) — Matt Wieters hit a two-run homer with two outs in the 11th inning, and the St. Louis Cardinals overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat the San Diego Padres 5-3 Sunday and snap a five-game losing streak. Wieters’ shot off Brad Wieck (0-1) reached the balcony on the fourth level of the Western Metal Supply Co. Building in the left-field corner. It was his fourth and came with Kolten Wong aboard on an infield single.

Carlos Martínez (2-0) pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief for the win and Dominic Leone got the final two outs for his first save.
