The Harlan Police Department reports four arrests. Last Saturday, 60-year old Mark Wayne Hancock, of Ottumwa, and 45-year old Tanya Jean Hancock, of Albuquerque, NM, were arrested following a traffic stop. Both individuals were transported to the Shelby County Jail. Mark Hancock was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tanya Hancock was charged with operating while intoxicated, prohibited acts penalties, and possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested Saturday, was Dustin Allen Delgado, who was taken into custody on an active warrant.

And, on June 20th, 44-year old Jeffrey William Leal, of Harlan, was arrested following a call for a disturbance. Leal was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts.
