Treynor sweeps titles at WIC track meet

The Treynor Cardinals boys and girls track teams came away with championships at the Western Iowa Conference Meet on Tuesday in Oakland. The Cardinals scored 130 points to beat out Logan-Magnolia by 5 in the girls team race. The boys notched 185 points to comfortably win the title. Underwood was second with 143.

In girls action Megan Carley won the 100M and 200M for the Cardinals. They also got a win in the 4x100M Relay. Ryann Portch of AHSTW won the 400M and 800M. Holly Hoepner won the 400M Hurdles for the Lady Vikes and they wont the Sprint Medley. Peyton Pogge of Tri-Center won the 1500M and 3000M. Tri-Center also won the 4x200M, 4x400M, and Distance Medley.

On the boys side Jerry Jorgenson of Treynor was a three race winner by taking the 800M, 1600M, and 3200M. Jake Fisher won the 110 Hurdles, Jack Tiarks won the High Jump, and Kristian Martens won the Shot Put for Treynor. AHSTW’s Drake Partridge won the 100M and 200M and the Vikings won the 4x100M Relay. IKM-Manning took wins in the 4x400M and the Sprint Medley.
