PITTSBURGH (AP) — Tyler O’Neill capped another St. Louis rally by driving in Kolten Wong for the go-ahead run in the 10th inning as the Cardinals surged past the Pirates 5-4. St. Louis took advantage of another sloppy performance by Pittsburgh’s bullpen. Harrison Bader hit a two-run home run off Keone Kela in the eighth to pull the Cardinals even. Wong led off the 10th with a triple against Nick Burdi and scored when O’Neill followed two batters later with a sharp single to right.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals have postponed their home openers by a day to Friday because rain is forecast. Chicago’s three-game series against Seattle and the Cardinals’ three-game series against San Diego had been scheduled to start Thursday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Eddie Rosario hit a go-ahead single in the ninth inning and the Minnesota Twins again rallied late against Kansas City, beating the Royals 7-6. After Max Kepler hit a tying, two-run single in the Twins eighth, Nelson Cruz drew a leadoff walk in the ninth from Wily Peralta. Pinch-runner Byron Buxton stole second and scored when Rosario followed with a single. Whit Merrifield extended his hitting streak to 25 games, tied with George Brett and Mike Sweeney for third longest by a Royals player.
