(Radio Iowa) — Iowa volunteer assistant track and field coach John Raffensperger died Monday at his home in Iowa City. He was in the midst of his 13^th season on the Hawkeye staff after a Hall of Fame high school career at Iowa City High, where he became the first coach to win 10 team State championships.

His father Leonard Raffensperger was Iowa’s Head Football Coach from 1950 to 1951.
