Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that at around 3:30-a.m. Saturday, his Deputies were dispatched to the 11-mile marker of northbound Interstate-29, for a car in the ditch. Upon arrival Deputies found 21 year old Triston Miller of Sidney, IA.

Aistrope said Miller appeared to have fallen asleep behind the wheel, and his vehicle went off the roadway where the snow was able to stop it. Deputies were able to get into the vehicle and put the car in the park and took Miller into custody for OWI 1st Offense. Miller was transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center being held on $1,000.00 bond.

Sheriff Aistrope reports also, that yhe Fremont County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop Friday night at Highway 275 and Filmore Street in Sidney, for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop Deputies arrested 49 year old Sean Thumann of DeWhitt,NE. Thumann was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He ws transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center and later posted a $1,300 bond.

Thumann
