Glenwood girls capitalize on Atlantic mistakes

The Glenwood girls basketball team took advantage of the Atlantic Trojans 21 turnovers on their way to a 69-37 home win on Tuesday night. Glenwood opened the game up with a ten point lead by the end of the first quarter and lead 29-18 at halftime. Miscues then began to snowball in the second half with Atlantic struggling to consistently handle the Rams press. The Rams grabbed a 20 point lead by the end of the third and brought reserves in for a good chunk of the fourth quarter.
Glenwood was led by 16 points from Elle Scarborough, 11 from Madison Camden, and 10 from Brielle Smith. The Rams improved to 8-3 with the win and will next face St. Albert at the MAC Shootout on Friday night.
Atlantic was led by 11 points from McKenzie Waters and 8 from Baylee Newell. The Trojans are now 1-11 and will travel to Lewis Central on Friday.
