DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Nick Norton scored 15 points, Nick McGlynn added 13, and Drake shot 58 percent to beat SIU-Edwardsville 79-66. D.J. Wilkins had 12 points, five assists and four steals and Anthony Murphy added 11 points for Drake (7-2), which outrebounded the Cougars 39-28 but turned it over 20 times.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Kansas, Duke and Tennessee are 1-2-3 in the AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll for the second straight week. The Jayhawks earned 56 of 65 first-place votes to stay at No. 1. Michigan and Virginia each climbed a spot into the top 5. No. 25 Nebraska was the only addition to this week’s rankings. Reigning national champion Villanova fell out for the second time this season after two straight losses.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska and Akron announced an agreement Monday addressing the Sept. 1 season-opening game between the two that was canceled because of bad weather. Under the agreement, Akron will play at Nebraska on Sept. 6, 2025, for a guarantee of $1.45 million. The Huskers will also pay Akron $650,000 for the canceled game, more than half the $1.17 million guarantee.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Trent Forrest scored a career high 23 points and freshman Devin Vassell added 16 points as No. 11 Florida State overcame a sluggish first half and beat Southeast Missouri 85-68. Forrest shot 8 for 12 from the floor, and had a team-high eight rebounds and four assists to help the Seminoles win their fourth straight.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Keaton Wallace and Jhivvan Jackson each made five 3-pointers and scored 23 points as UTSA rolled to a 101-77 victory over NAIA-member Bethany College. UTSA (4-7) rebounded from a 12-point loss to Arkansas on Saturday and has won two of its last three games.
