Iowa DOC reports another work release escape

Officials with the Iowa Department of Corrections report another inmate at a residential facility has escaped from a Residential Center. 53-year old Bennie Lee Davis, who was convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault- 3rd or Subsequent Offense in Scott County, walked away from his assigned residential facility in Davenport without proper authorization, Saturday.

Davis is a black male, 6-feet one-inches tall, and weighs 216 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on June 13, 2018.  Persons with information on Davis’ whereabouts should contact local police.

On Saturday, the I-DOC reported 44-year old Charles Anthony Ware, who was also convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault, 3rd or Subsequent Offense, in Black Hawk County, failed to report back to the Waterloo Residential Center as required Friday. Ware is a black male, height 6’2″, and weighs 197 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on August 21, 2018.
