A man from Greenfield was being held in the Adair County Jail Monday (today) on a $500,000 cash only bond, in connection with his arrest last Thursday. 30-year old Andy Joseph Engles was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault/Bodily Injury, for choking a woman to the point where she couldn’t breathe. He was also charged with Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree after allegedly forcing his victim to have sex with him and fracturing her left maxillary sinus area. And, Engles was charged with Willful Injury resulting in serious injury, after he slapped the same woman several times in the face. The incidents occurred at his residence on northeast 3rd Street in Greenfield, at around 10:30-a.m. July 18th.

And, 45-year old Jodi Lea Griffith, of Fontanelle, was being held in the Adair County Jail to serve her sentence on a conviction of Possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. She was booked in on July 19th per a court order, and released on July 21st.
