Pott. County Sheriff’s report (4/16) – Griswold man arrested on alcohol charges

Officials with the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office report , 18-year old Jacob Christian Steffen, of Griswold, was arrested at around 3:15-a.m. Sunday, after a deputy responded to a request for a welfare check in the vicinity of 490th and Chestnut Road. Steffen was charged with Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Contributing Alcohol to the delinquency of a Minor, and Interference with Official Acts. A 17-year old female from Elliott was cited at the scene for consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was released at the scene to the custody of her mother.

A traffic stop Sunday, in Pott. County, resulted in the arrest of 30-year old Jeromy Heath Clark, of Council Bluffs. Clark was taken into custody at around 2-a.m., for Driving While Barred. An inmate in the Pott. County Jail was served with warrant from Douglas County, NE. 30-year old Chance Edward Thomas, of Council Bluffs, was read the warrant for being a Fugitive from Justice Friday, and then returned to the custody of Corrections staff. A woman who refused to leave the Ember’s Restaurant in Avoca, Friday evening, was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Interference with Official Acts.

And, 24-year old Monica Phiri, of Colorado Springs, CO., was taken into custody at around 7:35-p.m., and transported to the Pott. County Jail.
