2 arrests in Page County

Two men were arrested late this week on separate charges, in Page County. Sheriff Lyle Palmer said today (Friday), 33-year old Christopher Joseph Janik, of Clarinda, was arrested at around 12:40-p.m. Thursday, on a Pottawattamie County warrant for a parole violation.  Janik was arrested at the Page County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Page County Jail without bond.  He was later transferred to the Pottawattamie County Jail for further court proceedings there.

And, at around 5-p.m. Tuesday, a traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of Iowa Avenue in College Springs, on a black Ford Ranger for a traffic violation.  The operator and only occupant, 25-year old Ian Richard Alexander MacVenn, of College Springs, was arrested for Driving under a suspended driver’s license.  MacVenn was transported to the Page County Jail as he was unable to post bond.  He was also issued citations for other traffic infractions.
