BETTY AKEN, 89, of Harlan, died Wednesday, Feb. 7th, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. A Memorial service for BETTY AKEN will be held 11-a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10th, at the 1st Assembly of God Church, in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

The family will greet friends at the 1st Assembly of God Church on Saturday, from 10-until 11-a.m.

Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery.

Her daughters – Patricia Schnack, of Council Bluffs, and Nancy Plagman, of Des Moines.

Her son – Robert (Colette) Plagman, of Shelby.

9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
