Saturday accident near Clarinda leaves driver injured

A single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Saturday near Clarinda resulted in the driver suffering unknown injuries.

At 11:24am Page County Deputies responded to the crash in the area of 210th Street and Willow Avenue, about 3 miles east of Clarinda. After investigation it was determined that 16-year-old Maya Larissa Konstantinov of Clarinda was the driver and only occupant of a 1993 Ford Explorer that lost control on the gravel of 210th Street just west of Willow Avenue and entered the north ditch. The vehicle then rolled and damaged a fence before coming to rest. Konstantinov was taken to Clarinda Regional Health Center with undisclosed injuries by Clarinda Ambulance.

The Explorer sustained about $1,500 damage and the fence owned by Mark J. Baldwin of Clarinda sustained $500 damage.
