The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says two Red Oak men were arrested on separate charges, and two accidents over the past few days. On Sunday, 22-year old Andrew Michael Knutson, was arrested for OWI/1st offense. Bond was set at $1,000. That same day, 23-year old Dakota Christian Thomas Sexton was arrested for Driving Under Suspension, and on a Scott County warrant. His bond amounted to was $2,696 altogether.

An accident Sunday morning in Mills County resulted in 28-year old Rocio Tapia, of Bellevue, NE., being sent to Creighton Medical Center by Glenwood Rescue. Authorities say Tapia was traveling east on Highway 34 at around 5:50-a.m. and as she was attempting to turn onto Highway 275, her brakes failed. The 2011 KIA left the road and entered the southeast ditch where the car flipped and landed on its roof.

The other accident happened at around 5:35-p.m. Saturday, at 390th Street and Jamison Road. Officials say 18-year old Logan Hardman, of Tabor, was driving a 1987 Lincoln northbound on 390th when he lost control on the gravel due to being an inexperienced driver. The car hit a guardrail. Hardman was cited for Not Having a Valid Driver’s License. No injuries were reported.
