Creston Junior Trevor Downing committed to continue his football career at Iowa State on Thursday afternoon. The Offensive Lineman met with Iowa State coaches to inform them of his decision.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Downing committed to the Cyclones over Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Kansas State, keeping one of the state’s top offensive linemen close to home. Downing received an offer from the Cyclones shortly after Head Coach Matt Campbell’s arrival in 2015.

Rivals rates Downing as the state’s No. 2 prospect in the 2018 class, and he is a consensus three-star lineman.

Downing has played Tackle for the Panthers but many believe he will play Guard in college.
