Authorities in Adair and Guthrie Counties are searching for a man who allegedly violated the terms of a No Contact order in Casey, Monday night. 25-year old Marcus Anthony Terrell, from Albia, fled authorities when they encountered Terrell at the residence in Casey a little after 10-p.m., Monday.

Sheriff’s officials say Terrell told an Adair County Deputy he “wasn’t going back to jail,” and fled out of the home before jumping into a pickup truck and leading the Deputy on a high-speed chase. Terrell managed to evade law enforcement and is believed to have left the area.

Warrants are being requested for Marcus Terrell in both Adair and Guthrie Counties, on charges of Violating a No Contact Order, Interference with Official Acts, Eluding, and Driving While Barred.
