The Atlantic Trojans boys basketball team will get a chance to test themselves against a highly rated team from Nebraska tonight.  The Trojans will face the Class C-2 second ranked Elmwood-Murdock Knights at Abraham Lincoln High School. The game is now set for a 5:45pm tip-off and we’ll have coverage on KJAN.  The two schools worked out a make-up date after their original meeting at the MAC Shootout was wiped out due to icy weather conditions.  Weather has now played a role in changing the game time as well. Abraham Lincoln needs to make-up a game they missed out on Tuesday night this week so the Trojans and Knights game was bumped to the 5:45pm start so AL game get their game in afterward.

The Knights are 14-1 overall and have been highly ranked throughout the season. The Knights are only ranked behind Hastings St. Cecilia, the team that beat them in the C-2 Championship last season.  Elmwood-Murdock is led by Wes Dreamer who averages 17 points and 8 rebounds per game.  Zach Rust is a strong three-point threat for the Knights, shooting 42% from downtown this season.

Atlantic is led by Garrett Franken. The senior is averaging 25 points and 9 rebounds per game for the Trojans. Scott Leonard comes into the contest averaging 14 points per game and Austin Alexander 13.

Chris Parks and Mike Smith will have the call of the game tonight on KJAN. Pregame will begin at about 5:35pm with tip-off again set for 5:45pm. Tune in on AM1220, FM101.1, kjan.com, or the KJAN mobile app. You can also catch live video on KJANTV.
