IRVING, Texas (AP) — Big 12 officials have decided not to split the conference into two football divisions. Instead, conference officials say the two highest-placed teams in the conference standings will play when the Big 12 brings back its title game next season.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Seventh-ranked Nebraska looks to silence the doubters as the Cornhuskers play at No. 11 Wisconsin today. Nebraska is off to its best start in 15 years and leads the Big Ten West but has yet to play a true ‘statement’ game.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Kansas is on the road today at No. 16 Oklahoma. Sooners coach Bob Stoops says he’s told his team they can’t take the Jayhawks lightly after Kansas held a lead through much of the first half last weekend against Oklahoma State.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — It will be a matchup of the Big 12’s oldest coach and the conference’s youngest today when Kansas State takes on Iowa State. Bill Snyder is 78 while Matt Campbell is the youngest Power Five coach in the country at 36.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles is out for Sunday’s game in Indianapolis against the Colts, with Charles having some swelling this week in his surgically-repaired right knee. Chiefs coach Andy Reid says Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West will split the running back duties Sunday.
