BONDURANT, Iowa (AP) — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says credit card skimmers have been found at two central Iowa gas stations. Officials say Thursday the device was plugged into a card reader in a gas pump at the Git-N-Go on Henry Street in Bondurant, just off of U.S. Highway 65. A pump technician discovered the skimmer Tuesday afternoon.

Two more devices were discovered Thursday afternoon inside gas pumps at a Grimes BP on Southeast 37th Street, just off of Iowa Highway 141. The skimmer is placed inside the credit card reader to capture credit and debit card information as the card is being swiped.

Customers who used a card at the two locations over the past two weeks are being asked to check their bank statements for unfamiliar changes.
