306 AM CST SUN JAN 4 2015 …WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST EARLY THIS MORNING… WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WINDS…NORTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH THROUGH EARLY THIS MORNING. WINDS WILL STEADILY DIMINISH TO 10 TO 20 MPH BY MID-MORNING.

* WIND CHILL VALUES…AROUND 15 BELOW TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS…SOME AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THIS MORNING. THEREAFTER THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE THE DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILL VALUES. THESE SHOULD PERSIST THROUGH LATE MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.
