SAC-CRAWFORD-CARROLL-AUDUBON COUNTIES: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING.

LIGHT SNOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH MID MORNING WITH ONLY FLURRIES THEREAFTER. WINDS WILL INCREASE EARLY THIS MORNING THEN TAPER OFF IN THE AFTERNOON. STORM TOTAL SNOW…1 TO 4 INCHES NORTH NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO NEAR 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 30 MPH AT TIMES THIS MORNING. VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED BELOW A MILE AT TIMES IN BLOWING SNOW.

TEMPERATURES WILL HOVER JUST ABOVE ZERO THIS MORNING…WITH WIND CHILL VALUES FALLING TO 15 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.SNOW WILL BLOW AND DRIFT ACROSS ROADS THIS MORNING MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT. BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS WILL ALSO MAKE IT HAZARDOUS TO BE OUTSIDE. PLAN FOR SLOW TRAVEL TIMES AND LONGER COMMUTES AND BE SURE TO DRESS WARMLY.
