JAMES KLOEWER, 96, of Panama, died March 4th, 2026, at home. A Mass of Christian Burial for JAMES KLOEWER will be held 10:30-a.m. Monday, March 9th, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Panama. Heartland Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish Center in Panama.

Interment with military honors and the fire department last call will be held in the Washington Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Volunteer Fire Department or the American Legion Post 601 both of Panama.

His daughters – Cindy (Joe) Connolly, of Papillion, NE; and Mona (Mark) Crall of Panama.

His sons – Daniel (Carol Stessman) Kloewer, of Omaha, NE; Dean (Colleen) Kloewer, of Panama; Bill (Janet) Kloewer, of Johnston.

His sisters – Charlet Connelly, of Tucson, AZ; Edna (Keith) Mallonee, of Foley, AL; Donna Schwery, of Panama; and Mary (Ken) Bell, of Clark, SD.

22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; His in-laws, other relatives and friends.
