JOHN CHRISTENSEN “Homeboy”, 51, of Greenfield, died Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his home.  Funeral services for JOHN CHRISTENSEN will be held 11-a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Greenfield United Methodist Church. Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield has the arrangements.

The service will be livestreamed on YouTube.com/GreenfieldIowaUMC. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.

Open Visitation: Will be held at the United Methodist Church in Greenfield on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Greenfield.

Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the John Christensen Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.

His daughter – Erika Christensen (& Ryan Wood), of Fontanelle.

His son – Jesse Christensen (& Dakota Weesner), of Creston.

His parents – Jim and Kathy Christensen, of Greenfield.

His siblings: Danelle (Sean) Cooney, Mandy (Mike) Dolan, Justin Christensen, and Josh (Juree) Christensen, all of Greenfield; Jason (Beth) Christensen of Fontanelle, and Brandi Henley of Winterset.

His godchildren, Christina (Brandon) and their daughter, Ivy Grace, Ryan and Mason Wilson; and many other relatives and friends.
