J.T. Pettigrew’s three pointer with two seconds remaining lifted Valparaiso to a 74-71 win over Drake, Wednesday night. The Bulldog’s missed seven of their final eight shots and had two crucial turnovers in the final minute in suffering their eighth straight loss.

That’s Drake coach Eric Henderson. It was the latest in a string of losses in which the Bulldogs crumbled at crunch time.

Drake is now 6-13 in the Valley.
