Drake has hired Matt Walker as its new football coach. Todd Kimm reports.

(as said) – Walker spent the past 14 seasons as the head coach at Wisconsin-River Falls and led the Falcons to the NCAA Division III national title this past season. He inherits a Drake program that has won three straight Pioneer Football League titles under former coaches Todd Stepsis and Joe Woodley. Woodley resigned after one season to join the coaching staff at Rutgers.
