February 6th, 2026 by Ric Hanson
A late comeback was not enough as the 10th ranked Iowa Hawkeye women suffered their first home loss 91-85 to Minnesota, Thursday. The Gophers led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter in handing the Hawkeyes their third straight loss.
That’s Iowa coach Jan Jensen. Minnesota made 10-of-14 from three point range and also dominated on the glass, out-rebounding the Hawkeyes 41-28.
The Hawkeyes are 9-3 in the Big Ten and 18-5 overall. They are off until next Wednesday when they host 24th ranked Washington.
