(Atlantic, IA) – Officials with the Atlantic Police Department issued a statement today (Tuesday), indicating the Department “Has been made aware of an incident involving a school staff member and students.”

In their statement, the A-PD said “The Atlantic Police Department has been investigating and looking into the information that has been provided. We take the safety of the children and community that we serve very seriously and will continue to handle this investigation thoroughly.

“The Atlantic Police Department has been assisted by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office during our investigation. No other details are being released at this time.
